There are many solutions to organizing genealogy information about a family, from shoe boxes filled with scraps of paper to computer applications that keep facts and attachments about people and the relationships among them. This work represents another solution. The World Wide Web grew in the 1990s from nothing to become a major method of accessing information throughout the world. A single individual and a Fortune 500 company have become equals in the information age. These pages solve the requirement for convenient access to genealogical information in a variety of forms and provide a way to distribute the data to interested parties. This solution takes no advantage of any tools that could be used to organize the information. This has been an opportunity to hand craft some HTML code which is a learning experience and can even be fun.
The family information gathered together in these pages has been a collaborative effort of descendants and in-laws of three brothers that immigrated to Waterloo County in the 1850s. It is a work-in-progress, evolving as new facts appear and new insights are gained to solve the family puzzles. Source references for the research are given when applicable. The sources may contain incorrect facts but there may also be errors in the transcription so we invite any and all to check the work with their own research. The conclusions drawn and speculation in these pages is our own.
